In case you need to export images to your website or another medium, the Preferences box also enables you to resize them to a different resolution. The stored files will be saved there once you choose a different location for them nothing will be overwritten. The application will go over each file, recompress it, and then delete the original if you choose to "Continue." Before you begin this process, click the small gear icon in the top left corner of the screen, choose Preferences, and then choose "Export to Folder" if you wish to save the originals just in case.

JPEGmini Pro will alert you if you attempt to replace the original images when you do this.
